One part anaerobic adhesives

Anaerobic adhesive is a one-part adhesive made of a single component – a solvent-free acrylic which cures at room temperature in the absence of oxygen and in the presence of metal ions which act as catalysts.

To stop the adhesive curing in its container, the bottles are generally half-filled with air and are not air-tight to ensure that oxygen is always present.

Due to its specific nature, anaerobic adhesive is particularly suited to three main types of application:

  • Locking of threaded assemblies
  • Securing connecting parts (bushes, bearings, etc.)
  • Sealing threaded metal parts/sealing flat surfaces

One-part anaerobic adhesives stop assemblies working loose as a result of mechanical stresses such as vibration and protect the resulting assembly from galvanic corrosion.

Properties

Very high tightness to water, oils and chemical products
Excellent resistance to vibration
