MYLAR® Films

Mylar polyester film has excellent insulation properties. This polyester film is made of PolyEthylene Terephthalate (PET) and is an ideal insulating material in a wide range of electrical, mechanical or graphical applications and in model-making (e.g. vacuum-packaged wing stratification). Various thicknesses of Mylar are available, cut to the size and shape defined in your specification.

  • Mylar A polyester film (frosted, translucent, white, milky): this film does not contain a plasticiser and does not become brittle as it ages under normal conditions of use.
Properties
Very good dielectric strength (280 kV/mm for a 23µm film)
High mechanical strength (tensile, shocks)
Oils, hydrocarbons resistant
Thermosettable
Low permeability
Use in continue 105°C (UL), 130°C(CEI)
Operating temperature : from -70 to 150°C
Fire classification VTM-2

Converting

We are commited to deliver converted or cut materials in their most finished possible form

ADDEV Materials uses various processes to cut all soft, flexible products into specified formats such as A4, A3 or any other dimensions.

ADDEV Materials examines customers’ requirements to provide fully adapted custom design to implementation solutions for parts cut to the required shape.

For certain bonding operations, ADDEV Materials offers Corona or Plasma-type surface treatments.

The purpose of laminating is to combine materials to enhance the properties of a single film.
